History:
The Illurians began as a tribal people, spread out across the vast oceans of their world. Their tribes developed unique cultures that each excelled in different areas. The early history is marked by frequent conflict between the tribes due to the fickle nature of their resources. One commonality between them was a love for technology which gave rise to powerful nations. Eventually, this led to the invention of a planetary communication system that allowed the nations to interact freely. It took several generations, but finally the nations are all but dissolved as the Illurians begin to see themselves as one people.
Culture: The Illurians have a deep love for technology, and spend much of their time tinkering. Some semblance of the old nations can be seen in the uses for technology that are preferred in certain areas. Some are focused on space exploration, others on military uses for example. They are generally peaceful, but can be vicious when threatened. Illurian families are loose-knit with offspring being raised collectively.
