The armies of the Hive Unity had arrived on Asteron. The ships landed in or around the Industrial district, tight enough that they would be able to mobilize and support each other relatively swiftly. The Asteron 2nd Union Army group was close enough to intercept and oppose the landing, if the generals gave the order, otherwise the district would be swiftly lost and the armies free to attack the rest of the planet. News of the invasion had gone out swiftly, but there was little time for emergency measures to be taken: the sector was still full of civilians and workers of all types. Whatever happened, there would be great loss of life on Asteron.
-------------------------------- TURN ORDER Hive Unity Union of Asteron Modmark
SUMMARY Hive Unity is landing in the region of the 1st industrial sector. Landing tactic and troop disposition should be chosen Union of Asteron may choose to send the 2nd Union Army to oppose the landing. If they do they will have a chance to attack transports and unloading troops instead of facing the full brunt of the armies.

It-That-Eternally-Hungers could taste the scent of flesh upon the air through his controlled senses. The city was filled with the smells of prey, the scent of fear reaking in the air as the workers had allready fled before their potential predators. Their colony certainly attempting to build their defenses.
His armies would come in hot and fast, as the enemies soldier drones would certainly pounce upon them the moment they landed.
The swarm would cut through the land, ripping and tearing the terrain and drones alike.
His hunger would be eased, but never sated.
================== General Hero Present!
-Troupes are instructed to land into areas that would provide the benefit of the terrain, and are to come in hot and fast, and are to surge forward and attack the immediate positions of enemies.
-Possible points of ambush are to be bombarded off hand to close them off, Only routes advantageous to the bugs aggression (Or too large to readily close) are to be left untouched.
-Scout infantry will be jump forward in tiny groups, they will be kept in mental contact with their superior to locate the enemy retaliation, and the direction they will most likley attack from should they attempt to surge the landing vehicles. (So as to better mount a defense)
-Artillery will bombard known enemy locations at will as soon as they have a unblocked shot. Should enemy locations be known, unwanted positions of retreat and attack will be targeted instead. (Damaging paths to limit enemy options) <Should the Bunker-Buser survived, they will focus on bringing down enemy structures to accomplish this task when able.>
-Air units will prioritize shutting down local defenses in precision strikes <Should the Air Superiority survive, they will focus on quickly disabling enemy aircraft in the region> --Air units senses will also be used to track possible locations of enemies. ---Available air units will be primarily focusing on the protection of the rest of the army, as they come out, primarily the transports.
-The bulk of the Armies Infantry and Army will deploy rapidly, attacking any enemy troupes while gradually sorting themselves out into designated regions. (Army A surges North, Army B surges South, Etc.
-If an engagement presents itself, the Infantry is to hold them off before a strike force of Armored is formed to spearhead into enemy ranks, dividing them to be flanked, or even surrounded. <Should the Heavy Infantry survived, they will lead the Infantry within this spearhead>
-The Terror-Weapon if they survived, begins to spread its package, extremely sparingly ,as to cover as large an area as possible. -Sappers if they've survived will hold back their specialized units.

Overview: The Torgau Sector was massive, home to half of Asteron's industry, and millions upon millions of workers. Like a cancer, the city spread its tentacles outwards, with gigantic hab blocks that housed its workers and its refining complexes that were the beating heart of Asteron's industry. The Torgau Sector was vital to the Union's war effort but more importantly such an attractive target represented a chance for General Gustavus Kruger to implement his strategy of bleeding the Hive and forcing it to become involved in a heavy and protracted battle for the sector. Every hab would become a fortress and every street a choke point in which to slow the enemy.
Engineers were being dispatched across the city, laying charges and destroying massive buildings in order to box the enemy into narrow funnels where they could be engaged by accurate artillery fire or machine guns. The feared Penal Companies had been deployed, giving Gustavus a crucial weapon that would fight to the last man. Meanwhile, the mechanized walkers backed by infantry would insert themselves into the rubble of buildings caused by the mass and indiscriminate artillery bombardment and wait for their chances to spring bloody ambushes upon the enemy.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The whine of hundreds of aircraft engines filled the sky as squadrons took off from over a dozen airbases and airfields within the sector. Major Kluwe thumbed the activation room, arming his missiles and bombs.
'' C> This is Fox squadron. Proceeding to target. Fangs are out. '' Kruger had ordered a massive airstrike as the first Hive ships began to land. It was the only period in which the Union would enjoy brief air superiority and Kruger intended to use every aircraft he had at his disposal to not only engage the transports as they landed and came down, but offloaded the hordes of enemy forces inside. It wasn't just the aircraft that the enemy would have to contend with but waves of self propelled artillery that would act as both anti-aircraft weapons and once the enemy had landed would convert to standard artillery. The aircraft would be acting as their eyes and ears, calling in coordinates so that the artillery fire would be accurate.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Skoda Works
'' Fan out, secure the area. '' Captain Xhosa snarled, the backdoor of the APC swinging down to disgorge twenty troops. It wasn't the only APC there were dozens more. High Command had put resources into defending the Skoda Works for the purposes of using it as a last ditch effort to stop the enemy. The Skoda Works had been designed to withstand artillery and aircraft bombardment, the core of the factory buried deep beneath the ground. It wasn't just soldiers that were here however. The army had either flown in or seized scientists and existing plant engineers within the city for Kruger's plan. They would descend into the bowels of the plant, with deadly intent should the city fall.
SUMMARY
Objective: -- Hold Torgau City for as long as possible.
Defend Key Areas including: -- Torgau Heloport (allowing supplies to be flown in and dropped from orbit) -- Skoda Works -- Torgau Central District (includes hospitals and various refugee centers where large portions of the population have been evacuated)
-- The Second Union Army advances and entrenches itself within Torgau City. Troops have been dispatched to several key areas in the city. The bulk of the army had entrenched itself within the various hab blocks and buildings in order to create mass chokepoints to slow the enemy down. Artillery, troops, and tanks will be concealed in the rubble of buildings. Guerrilla tactics will be used, including hit and run, using the environment to cause maximum casualties.
-- The Second Union Army will ENGAGE the enemy at the outskirts of the city, before withdrawing to draw the enemy in deeper.
-- Aircraft and artillery will target enemy transports as they descend. Once they begin to disgorge troops, aircraft and artillery will focus on enemy infantry and artillery units.

Modmark Torgau was lost to the bugs. Asteron still knew little to nothing about the strange invaders who had devoured an entire chunk of their industry, and now threatened the entire planet. Millions had died in the attack, and as refugees escaped the city they spread with them horrible stories - stories about people being devoured, of bodies being assembled in great vats of acid or strange, organic constructs, of dead bodies being harvested in great stacks... and of Asteron's soldiers purposefully nuking the sector after doing nothing to evacuate civilians.
Fear, panic, and outrage surged through much of the population. State-controlled media spoke of nothing but the heroism of Torgau's defenders, but whispers and rumors continued to spin. People began to fear that if the bugs were to attack their home next, they would find themselves stranded with no hope of rescue.
The Hive found ample biomass in Torgau Sector. Dead bodies and masses of civilians gave enormous piles of biomass, while the metals and materials in the industrial sector could be reprocessed and put to good use. Work went forward almost immediately, but to fully utilize the sector the hive would have to leave an army in Torgau for some time to make sure everything was harvested and the area stripped bare.
---------------------------- TURN ORDER Hive Unity Union of Asteron Modmark
SUMMARY Hive Unity gains 6 Biomass from harvesting Torgau. If at least 1 Hive Army remains in Torgau for a turn they can harvest another 10-14 Biomass. Astera System suffers -1 Order from discontent at the devastation of Torgau and the neglect of civilian welfare, and -1 Order from a battle being fought on the planet.

It-That-Eternally-Hungers gorged itself on the flesh of an captured enemy drone. The strange interior chitin being cracked, and chewed as it planned out the next course of action.
The flesh was fresh, a small group of living prey was currently being pinned down on the floor nearby by several mindless drones, as they watch him consume. They had been making sounds at him for the past cycle as he ate one after another, he could run their inefficient communication through one of the drones designed to understand such prattle, but It didn't feel the need for conversation.
It's own sound reverberation organs where only there because the gene splicing of them into It's own body structure was too easy to not bother including them. Having finished It Grabed another smaller one of the group, it quickly started feeding, the prey flailing until it lost the strength, and soon the body began to cool, a shame that. They tasted better when still warm, although It-That-Eternally-Hungers quickly was learning how to consume in such a way as to keep that delicious quality for ever longer.
The victory was had, But not without losses. Losses that would need to be replaced. And while its own gullet was stuffed, its carrapace dissended with biomass, It's stomachs modified minitarue bio-forges that streached elastically, to break down raw biomass into usable protein packets for consumption and analysis. Its existance learned from Its predecessors Imperfection, Eating themselves till eruption, as the hunger of the hive filled them.
It still felt the hives hunger. Hunger that must be sated.
It must.
===============================================
-Rak'Yot remains to complete the consumption of the Torgau Sector, while setting up defensible positions, and lines of safe travel, in case of a route, giving the army a more easily fallback location. Focus is particularly on routes that can be traveled underground, or inside of buildings.
-Remaining armies moves to consume the science sector. (Rak'Tak, Rak'Nil, Rak'Tik)

Operation Iron Hammer
Was this how it ended?
Humanity gobbled up by an endless sea of chitin.
Colonel Rictus allowed a scowl to slide over his rugged features. He was a career military man and defeat was something as an officer that was incomprehensible to him. The shuttles came down in their dozens from the Indomitable, disgorging hundreds of marines into the Ezrian Sector. More troopships were arriving every minute. But they weren't here to defend the Sector. Colonel Rictus was here to oversee the evacuation of civilians, high value assets, and collect or destroy any valuable research that could aid the enemy.
Time was against them, they would have to act quickly. Every civilian aircraft that could fly was being commandeered for the massive airlift. In addition, the Air Corp was dispatching military transport aircraft for the evacuation efforts. After the disaster at Torgau and the social unrest that followed, High Command had to do everything in its power to ensure that it was safeguarding its civilian population.
Even now the first transports full of them were taking off, bound for Vorcia.
How many could Rictus save? ------------------------------------------------------------------------- Major Kluwe had quite possibly never seen so many aircraft in his life. Like an insect swarm, there were hundreds of them. Fighter squadrons, interceptors, heavy bombers. It seemed like the Air Force had scraped together everything that could fly or anything that they could strap a bomb to and had unleashed it on the Hive once it became clear that they were targeting the Ezrian Sector.
The remnants of the Second Army had been pooled together for this attack. While the ground forces elements of the army had been utterly devastated, the air wing remained virtually intact. It gave Kluwe great joy to be in the skies again. It meant he wouldn't have to witness the horror going on below. His fighter was armed with over a dozen five thousand pound bombs, missile and rocket pods, in addition to its heavy gatling gun.
It was going to be a long bloody flight. Aerial refueling tankers lingered, buzzing around the swarms of air wings. They were joined by over half a dozen massive AWACS craft that was attempting to coordinate this mess. On the ground, a very different swarm was beginning to form. The First Army was about to get its first taste of combat...
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
'' They're calling you the Butcher of Torgau. '' General Kayani remarked.
'' Let them call me what they want. I will burn this world to the ground before I surrender it to these monsters. '' Kruger replied, his voice lacking emotion as the two officers waited in the operations room. Kayani was shocked that Kruger hadn't been shot. His gamble in Torgau had been a failure that had cost Asteron dearly, in terms of both the civilian and military loss. Yet he retained the Chairman's faith, having been groomed as his successor for the last decade.
'' You think attacking now is the answer? We should wait behind our defenses. They'd need to cross the Line of Control before they even threaten Vorcia and by then we shall have reinforcements. '' Kayani, albeit experienced, was always a cautious soldier and it was showing.
'' The Marines will need time to evacuate Ezria and we will need to buy them that time. The Hive is more concerned with eating than bloodying themselves against our defenses. No doubt their thinking we'll hide with our tail between our legs. Food is what drives them, the flesh and organic material of humans. Do I have your support Kayani? '' Gustavus said with a raised eyebrow. His hard eyes were like blue chips of ice and Kayani felt as if they were ripping into his soul, judging him.
'' Yes, though it may be the death of us. ''
SUMMARY: -- Marines air dropped from the Indomitable begin coordinating the evacuation of civilians from the Ezrian Sector.
-- General Gustavus Kruger takes command of the First Union Army and launches an attack on the Hive armies that are en-route to Ezria.
-- Air Support will be provided by the Second Union Army, launching sorties from the Tambov Military Sector. Mass bombardments will focus on enemy columns.

First Torgau, then Ezrian. Asteron was slowly falling against the Hive campaign as cities and sectors were devoured, destroyed, and recycled. Worse, Asteron was now defenseless. Its armies were crushed, its leaders impotent, its greatest general, shamed. Religion and revolutionary ideas were on the upswing - people turned to whatever comfort they could, determined that it was the end of days, or became desperate for someone, anyone, who could turn the tide. Suicides skyrocketed. The black-market price for tickets to get off-planet skyrocketed.
But in their darkest hour, hope arrived. The 1st People's Militia and 1st Revolutionary Guard disembarked from orbit to cheering and adoring crowds louder than any Revolution Day crowd. Their allies in revolution had come in the nick of time to save them from the bugs! Cheers were even louder when it was found that the RWN Free Peasant, having escorted the People's Militia to Asteron, would be continuing on to take the fight to the bugs on their home planet. And with them more news: the Viscarri Empire was sending ships and men as well. Allies from across the stars were gathering to fight this threat.
The Hive forces were battered, but still strong. They had now completely torn Torgau asunder, leaving nothing but ashen wastes. Even looters would find little of value there - the bugs were quite thorough. Ezrian was fortunate; most of its citizens had been evacuated in time to escape the oncoming armies. But it was now in the possession of the hive, and they could now strip it bare if they so desired. A new army now stood in their way, but they still had numbers.
TURN ORDER Hive Unity Union of Asteron RWU Modmark
SUMMARY Hive Unity captures Ezrian. If at least 1 Hive Army remains in Ezrian for a turn they can harvest another 5-8 Biomass. Torgau Industrial Sector is destroyed. Hive Unity gains 12 Biomass. Astera System suffers -1 Order from having an empty terrestrial slot RWU 1st People's Militia and 1st Revolutionary Guard arrive. The RWN Free Peasant leaves to attack the Hive homeworld.

It-That-Eternally-Hungers was, for the short time in its ephemeral existence. Shaken.
They would murder the Queens.
They would kill the mothers, of life and hive.
And he spoke to them, he offered to leave, to include them in the Unity.
Shame of his own existence filled his being, for the first time in it's memory.
It knew it's own Queen may unmake him for having attempted to contact such a utterly fowl race.
Then a change occurred. Hard codded into It's being.
The Nightmare of It-That-Eternally-Hungers famine faded into memory.
And a new Hunger filled its place.
Destruction.
No longer was this a Raid, where reason could be had.
They where at war, Just as the Mother-of-Unity was so many countless cycles ago in memory.
There was no other path to be had with these monsters.
It-Who-Eternally-Hungers grouped the minds of several communication drones, and shared its memories of the contact, and their consciousness screamed just as his had, in terror, and shock, and rage.
They joined quickly their minds, and in a burst they felt the loving mind of their queen, perfect in her glory.
He gave her his memories, burning out the other drones leaving just enough time to finish his possibly last touch to her mind.
He may never know if she forgave him for is transgression. He may never wish too.
But she must live to do so or not do so.
The queens must live.
The Unity must stand.
It-That-Eternally-Hungers no longer hungered for flesh, and bone, blood.
It hungered for Fear.
It hungered for Despair
It hungered for Destruction.
And when its hunger could reach no greater.
It connected to the rest of the swarm, and it shared its memory, and its Hunger. =====================================
-Rak'Tak harvest the remnants of the science sector, before joining in later directives.
-Captured Sector(s) are fortified by all insect armies.
-Armored/Artillery units move earth and burrow in leaving difficult to spot turrets.
-For all insects: Underground is nice, its hard to bomb, and be seen.
-Sector is ransacked for structural materials to provide additional cover for these units, and a multitude of staging points, and covering withdraw tactics, and potential points of advantage are planned out by It-That-Eternally-Hungers, who goes to ground to orginize both the fortification and the infantry tactics as listed later on.
-Paths of travel are broken and disrupted with a purpose, forcing attaching forces into traps/killboxes/dead ends/etc.
-Lastly, after preparations for defenses are complete. Infantry will divide into small well organized cells of intelligent drones leading either its fellow intelligent drones, as well as the unintelligent ones. Planned objectives are as listed.
--These drones are to spread out as best they can and engage in asynchronous warfare, and due to the lack of communication they will no longer be counted as part of the army at this point.
--Raiding is no longer a priority. Biomass will be eaten as needed, however most will be mutilated and hidden among food/water sources to spoil it, or spread desiesse, or simply out in the open torn limb from limb for all to see, disease will be spread wherever possible.
--A message will be given to every unit, and within every unit their will be at least one bug who can say and/or write this message. "We offered you Unity. We offered to leave. You swore kill Queens. Unforgivable. " It will be written with the blood of their victims, or spoken, and left with crippled survivors who will be forced to watch those they are captured with slowly killed.
--Structures, and enemy infrastructure will naturally be targeted for sabotaged as well. Creating disasters that disrupt enemy sleep cycles, or just in general is of course is also a positive option. Edit: For clarification, salt the land tactics are to be used, exposing lethal radioative dust to the winds. Poaring chemicals to ruin farmlands, etc.
--The valiant drones who stay will not expect reinforcements in any reasonable time, therefore they will burrow/dig/hide/attack in such a manner as to make themselves as large, and as long term a problem as possible to assure the survival of their Queens.

Gustavus Kruger stared at the tactical map in front of him, each listing important objectives and forces available. The Asteran army had taken horrendous losses, as expected. Apocalyptic battles that had pitted man against insect had devoured his forces down to the bone. In its darkest hour, Asteron at last received the troops that it needed to fight the enemy, with even more on the way. The urge to attack was strong but for the moment he knew that their best hope was to wait behind their fortified lines while the Union armies licked its wounds. In a few weeks time, the Asteran Second and Third armies would be reborn. The production facilities continued to roll out new tanks and equipment while young men were conscripted to fill the line.
The more troubling point to Kruger was why had the enemy not moved? If they attacked now, they could cause tremendous damage. Granted, the Asteran's might be able to hold the line as Vorcia was protected by a ring of fortified defenses (not to mention millions of fresh allied troops) but to dig in and wait? It was troubling news. The bugs were either waiting to be extracted or reinforcements were on the way and both Torgau and Ezria were about to become fresh staging points for a new Hive offensive. Kruger was not about to let them escape. The beast would pay and Kruger's duel with the Gluttonous One would continue. Meanwhile, new orders had been given to the Navy to join the RWU force en-route to the Hive homeworld. If the enemy was indeed being reinforced or rescued, then they would have to get through the Indomitable first.
SUMMARY:
-- The Asteran First Army recoups its losses in the Tambov Sector while fresh divisions reinforce the Asteran Second & Third Armies.
-- The destroyer Indomitable links up with the RWU Fleet and proceeds to the Hive homeworld.
-- Regular reconnaissance will be conducted on Torgau and Ezria via scouts and aerial units to gather intelligence on enemy movements.
-- All Asteran & Allied Troops have been ordered by High Command to conduct regular sweeps of their sectors to deal with the threat of enemy infiltration.

OPERATION SUNRISE: TO BE DISTRIBUTED TO ALL REVOLUTIONARY WORKERS' ARMY TAKUDARS
Orders from the Union Council are for all units to proceed to retake the Ezrian Sector immediately, before the infestation devours it. Asteran Union Army has opted to recover losses and defend their remaining ground, and will not directly participate in the operation. Requests for air support and for General Kruger to advise on the ground are pending approval, but the operation will proceed regardless.
Initial reports indicated that enemy forces are badly damaged and spreading out, and that the invaders have not consolidated their various armies. Expect scattered but fierce resistance. Commanders are ordered to proceed with the following tactical measures...
____
COMMUNICATIONS LOG, RWN FREE PEASANT
<C>: Free Peasant to Indomitable, requesting accompaniment to Invader System. Repeat, Free Peasant to Indomitable, requesting accompaniment to Invader System.
<C>: We understand your hesitation. Our orders are to advance into enemy territory for reconnaissance and possible offensive action, but we have been advised not to proceed without allied backup. Mission objectives may be delayed in favor of defensive stance. Our vessel's officer council is in favor of coordinating with our allies: We will follow your lead.
<C>: Message confirmed Indomitable, welcome to our little operation. Let's bring the fight to those gods-damned roaches.
__________
SUMMARY: -- 1st People's Militia and 1st Revolutionary Guard move to attack the Ezrian Sector, with the objective of saving it from total destruction. Tactical notes PMed to moderator.
-- RWN Free Peasant advances into Hive home system, accompanied by the Indomitable. First goal is reconnaissance, and enemies are not to be engaged until the Union Council gives the order.

Victory, or so it seemed to the RWU and Asteron. The Hive Unity forces had retreated to Torgau and boarded their transports. The bugs were fleeing the system, their transports rocketing off into space. But It-That-Eternally-Hungers had one last parting shot to give. While his transport, along with the remaining Hive forces, departed the remaining transports took a swing around the nearby gas giant in an attempt to build up relativistic speeds. One squadron broke up, ripped apart by inertia and tidal forces, but the other completed the slingshot and hurled towards Asteron at incredible speeds, a suicidal relativistic missile. For the few days that the ship approached there was something approaching a panic. Potential impact-sites were evacuated and countermeasures scrambled. But the Asterons need not have worried - the ships hit atmosphere and were almost immediately torn to pieces by the intense heat and vibration, most of the shattered parts burning up in atmosphere. All that the maneuver achieved was to create a rather spectacular shower for those watching - except for one unfortunate man who, when he returned to his house the next day, found it crushed under an enormous chitin clay burnt coal-black during entry.
More immediate was the issue of the Hive drones who had escaped the battle and spread out from the Ezrian sector. In small groups they had dispersed into the countryside and now made a general nuisance of themselves attacking civilians. With roughly fifty thousand drones on the loose cleanup would be no easy task, especially if Asteron wanted the drones dealt with before they caused significant damage or panic.
Luckily for Asteron, more reinforcements had arrived. The 2nd Legion, some of Asteron's finest, made planet-fall a few days after the transport incident.

The legion spread like locus upon the lands, and entrenched themselves like a parasite.
Weak. Small. But painful as they feed off the flesh of their host.
They formed loose contacts with each others minds as they bleed out their host.
They befouled enemy supplies in small bands, and dispersed to the winds, and digging into the tunnels.
They formed pools of rot and decay in places to spread desiese and weakness.
They found toxic materials and planted them in places where they would poison the very earth itself.
They sowed fear, preying upon the lone units, and avoiding any set patterns.
They hid from the rumbling of kill squadrons just to tear individual soldiers from their beds later that evening.
And they drove their message in the natives script, for all to see.
"We offered you Unity. We offered to leave. You swore kill Queens. Unforgivable. "
For all would know the horrendous crime these monsters took upon themselves. ====================================
<OOC: Not really certain what else to add here. My infantry where given orders as i've already stated in my previous GC post. Focus on avoiding combat, and sowing disease/fear/unrest. Posting general reactions to their message might be appropriate if anyone cares to do such a thing. Perhaps bring it up in Diplomacy? Have fun crushing bugs (if you can find them *MWAHAHAHA* [steals baby from crib/eats orphans/throws radioactive dust into air/etc.] >

The force of the scuttling charges blew the Free Peasant into charred wreckage, joining the Hive ship as yet another casualty of the battle between Revolution and the insects. Commander Trask, alongside the officers of the Free Peasant gave the ship a final salute before like a shark that sensed blood in the water, the Indomitable began charting a new course towards the home world of the enemy…
Auspex scanners would continually hunt for the fleeing forces of the Hive. It was a natural conclusion that the vessels of the Gluttonous One would appear here. The Asteran Navy had left far earlier than there enemy counterparts, leaving Trask in a good position to ensure that the remnants of the invasion force that had nearly overrun Asteron never made it home. In the interim, scans and probes would be done of the planet, hunting for the largest sectors that housed the most life forms.
Unfortunately, it seemed that the world itself was a bloody fortress. It would take a true invasion force to finally end the menace to the galaxy once and for all.
‘’ Lieutenant…find me a target on the ground. ‘’ Amidst the harsh terrain on the ground, the homing torpedoes from the Indomitable were launched to the ugly planet below. The Captain was aware that the damage his ship would do was minor. But it would be a psychological message that the Asteran Navy was here and vengeance had at last come to greet the insects.
SUMMARY:
- The Free Peasant is evacuated and the Indomitable proceeds with its mission, scouting the Hive home world for any enemy vessels. If none are present, the Indomitable will begin a campaign of orbital bombardment attempting to target enemy population centers.
-- A blockade is established in high orbit over the enemy homeworld, any Hive ships entering the solar system will be attacked.
- Second and Third Union armies under General Kruger move into the Ezrian Sector, protecting workers as the sector is reconstructed and continuing the efforts to stamp out the bug insurgency.
- The First Union Army recoups in the Tambov Military Sector; continually running patrols to hunt for bug activity.
- The Viscarri and RWU are tasked with clearing out the insurgency in Torgau and running patrols elsewhere on the planet.

The Thunder Born would deploy to Torgau in strength. Setting up series up search and destroy patrols throughout the sector. They were coordinating their efforts with the RWU forces as well as could be expected. In their HQ Legate Benivrick poured over his holo-map display as several of his under officers regulated data flow and input new data for the map. Since Torgau was a weapons free zone the second legion was more than willing to over react to any suspected bug activity. Though artillery was being restricted to zones where no RWU units were operating to remove the chance of a miscommunication that could end in friendly fire incidents. The armored mechs of the legion would however be given free reign to blow anything the infantry thought was suspect to kingdom come.
