Terrestrial Sectors
Terrestrial Sectors are built on inhabitable planets.
All Terrestrial Sectors cost 20 Industry and 7 Credits to construct - Unless otherwise Noted
Industrial Sector
A sector devoted to mass industry, including the extraction, refinement, and processing of resources and the production of goods and end products. Such a sector can include thousands of factories and other facilities and millions of workers.
-- Increase Industry by 10
-- Increase Economy rating by 15
Commercial Sector
A city sector loaded with financial services, corporate headquarters, high-density housing and support services. Commercial sectors are the beating heart of business on a planet, where business is done and money is made.
-- Increase Economy rating by 25
Spaceport
A surface-side transport is dominated by a massive launch mechanism - usually a magnetic launcher, hyperloop or laser propulsion. Around this mechanism are built the support buildings necessary to house billions of tons of goods, accommodate millions of travelers, and service hundreds of ships.
-- 1 Trade Route
-- Increase Economy rating by 10
Military Sector
Supporting an army of hundreds of thousands is a nontrivial enterprise. A Military sector devotes enormous industry to the housing, training, arming, supply and command of such an army, allowing them to be supported without massive strain on the economy. Military Sectors are also hardened for defense against land invasion with AA emplacements, bunkers and other defenses.
-- Maintains one Army without cost
-- Grants a free army when first constructed
-- Increase Economy rating by 15
-- Improved Defense vs. Armies
Research Sector
This university is the size of a city, with tens of thousands of professors, millions of students, and tens of millions of staff.
-- Increase Economy rating by 10
-- Generates 1 Science / Turn
Administrative Sector
A sector devoted purely to government administration and bureaucracy. This complex of offices, training facilities, and support structures ensures that a system's bureaucracy runs smoothly and that laws are administered everywhere.
-- Support one Agent without cost
-- grants 1 Agent when constructed
-- Provides +1 Order in system
-- Increase Economy rating by 10
Orbital Sectors
Orbital Sectors are built in orbit around a terrestrial planet, or on nearby moons and satellites
All Orbital Sectors cost 45 Industry and 20 Credits to construct - Unless otherwise Noted
Orbital Defense Grid
A grid of satellites, space stations, and patrolling drones that can give enemy fleets pause and defend the planet below.
-- Provides an Orbital Defense Grid that protects a planet.
Orbital Spaceport
Freed from the need to launch and receive ships through a gravity well and atmosphere, the Orbital spaceport can handle larger ships and more traffic than its ground-side version. Often connected to the planet itself via a tether or shuttles.
-- 2 Trade Routes
-- Increase Economy rating by 15
Orbital Shipyard
An Orbital Shipyard provides the mass logistics and maintenance necessary to maintain warships.
-- Maintains 4 credits of ship upkeep free.
-- Building supported ships costs 25% less
-- Increase Economy rating by 20
Orbital Factories
-- Increase Industry by 20
-- Increase Economic rating by 20
Orbital Laboratories
There are many experiments either too delicate or too dangerous to be done on a populated planet. Orbital laboratories allow the resident scientists to conduct these highly sensitive experiments peering into the nature of reality.
-- Generates 2 Science / Turn
-- Increase Economy Rating by 20
Administrative Station
Situated in space, the administrative station connects a network of satellites, direct transmission lines and local supercomputers to coordinate an entire system's bureaucracy quickly and efficiently.
-- Support one Agent without cost
-- grants 1 Agent when constructed
-- Provides +2 Order in system
-- Increase Economy rating by 25
System Sectors
System Sectors are built on exoplanets, or in local solar space.
All System Sectors cost 100 Industry, 50 Credits, 5 Science - Unless otherwise Noted
Warp Gate
-- Ships may travel between the warp gate and its sister gate as if by wormhole
-- Your nation has complete control who can pass in or out of the gate
-- Increase Economy rating by 50
System Extractors
With enormous extractors built into asteroids, xenoplanets, or around gas giants. These extractors can produce the enormous amount of raw, exotic elements necessary for mass production.
-- Increase Industry by 40
-- Increase Economy rating by 30
System Shipyard
These enormous shipyards are larger than most space stations, including berthing for dozens of ships, fuel and resources to supply them, and thousands of expert personnel to support them.
-- Maintains 8 credits of ship upkeep free.
-- Building supported ships costs 25% less
-- Increase Economy rating by 25
Terraform
Terraforming a planet's atmosphere and climate to be naturally habitable to your species is a monumental task with great rewards.
-- +1 Terrestrial Sector/turn until an exoplanet is fully terraformed.
-- 50 Industry, 20 Credits for each Terrestrial Sector
Ansible Station
Isolated in deep space around an extremely sensitive ansible, the ansible station sends, receives, coordinates and translates messages at instantaneous speeds, vastly increasing trade efficiency and tying distant colonies together.
-- Increase Economy rating by 65
Xeno Research Station
The depth of distant space and the strange environments of xenoplanets, moons and asteroids provide the ideal circumstances for advanced sciences, allowing casual study of phenomena that would usually take massive effort to create artificially in a lab. Building research stations in these foreign environments, along with the necessary support structures, is a herculean effort, but the results are worth it.
-- Generates 4 Science / Turn
-- Increase Economy rating by 30
